Thoughts #2

For a friend in need.

Shame on you, there's something in my head.
I couldn't taste it, I'm tired and naked.
So don't show me your bed,
the only roads are cul-de-sacs.

*do you have any idea just how pathetic we are?*

Chocolate Milk VS

A splash of cognac does make the chocolate milk very special!

3/4 glass of chocolate milk, chilled (prefer Diamond's)
1/4 glass of cognac (prefer NYAK VS)
Caramel (easy to make : put two tablespoon of sugar on a pan, splash with halfspoon of orange juice and let it burn)

Swirl the caramel on the bottom of a glass.
Pour the cognac, then the chocolate milk.

Sour Sally - Frozen Yogurt

Cool, refreshing, lovely.
That's three words to describe my new addiction.
Sour Sally Frozen Yogurt.

Comes in two flavors, plain - natural yogurt flavor - and green tea - a nice twist! - all are customizable to be combined with your choice of topping.
I'm currently in love with a naked green tea.
But some mango chunks on top does put a zing in the taste and I love it too.
Well it depends on the day...

Not just the yogurt are refreshing, the stall is an eyecandy on its own.
Decor is rather girly, and I feel like entering a cosmetic shop everytime I visit Sour Sally.

Oh and for those who care, the yogurt contains zero fat (so what?!).
So go on,

At My Most Beautiful - REM

When a whisper is louder than a shout.

I've found a way to make you.
I've found a way.
A way to make you smile.

I read bad poetry,
into your machine.
I save your messages,
just to hear your voice.

You always listen carefully,
to awkward rhymes.
You always say your name,
like I wouldn't know it's you.
At your most beautiful.

At my most beautiful.
I count your eyelashes, secretly.
With every one, whisper I love you.

I let you sleep,
I know you're closed eye watching me.
Listening.
I thought I saw a smile.

I've found the way to make you smile! ;)

Steaks at Kemchicks Supermarket

Everybody loves good steak.
And for me, good steak is one of life's essentials.

Went starving waiting for my friends at Pacific Place, I walked to Kemchicks Supermarket at the lower ground.
The ordering system was quite simple, I went to the meat display, chose one chunk (around 180g) of Australian striploin, then asked them to marinade and grill it for me medium rare.
You only pay for the meat, the marinading and grilling is free.

Took one can of beer with me (from the big supermarket fridge), and waiting for my steak to come in al fresco way - not actually al fresco, but the stool area was surrounded by fresh vegetable and fruits - so the experience was there.
I was actually sitting facing the display of deli *excited*.

Came along my steak.
To my disappointment, it was grilled medium well.
Did I brief them wrong? I was pretty sure I ask for medium rare - and when I ask for clarification, they confirmed - "Yes miss, it's a medium rare."
*Sigh*

While the meat itself ...

I love taro so much when it's fashioned in turnover pie, how could the girl resist?
This is a cheap turnover pie with the crusty pie skin and hot hot comforting taro filling.
The taste is just so yummy, with taro bits and sauce that isn't too sweet.
My takeout, a fulfilling, lovely warm snack.

Hope it will be available in Indonesia

Yo! Tokyo

After the long haul meeting, my dear client took us to Oakwood Kuningan for a supposedly nice lunch.

The place itself, nice.
We agreed it's Little Singapore in Oakwood hahahahaha.
There weren't many eateries to choose from. Ranch Market al fresco dining seemed like something very popular in demand. And since we're not in any mood for table queue, so off we go elevating upstairs. And for a minute we thought we're in Scotts Road.

We opted for Yo! Tokyo, Chopstix' Japanese sister.
Both are joined to the hip.
Both are crowded.
They managed to fit us in a small table at the back.

As with Chopstix, the menu were displayed with photogenic photographs (yes, owned by a renowned photographer, I know).
I was drooling over a lunch bento containing of squid head stick, shrimp croquette, Japanese rice and miso soup.
For the drink, couldn't think of anything else from teh tarik.

Now the moment of truth.
After a suitable interval (yes the joint was packed), our meal arrived.

Pursuit of Happyness - No, not the movie

A friend had just got her heart broken.
Her prince charming had brutally pushed her out of the picture.
"I'm not going to trust anyone ever again. Never."
There she made a statement - now that sounds familiar!
She was the one glowing with happiness, less than a year ago, announcing that she had finally found the love of her life.
"You should, too," said her then.
How ironic.
The thing that can give you a blaze of glory can also wash you off the sink in no time.
But hey, we've all been there right?

There were those moments when I sank my head - and heart - so low and vowed the same I'm-not-going-to-trust-anyone-again.
But trust had always been an issue for me ever since I was a child and so vow or no vow, it would always been a big wall standing between me and the world.
And of those painfully beautiful stories I've written, I admit I miss them....
Oh and yes, by saying never, we are actually expecting something to happen, although we don't want to admit it, of course.

Yes.
solitaire

it was one of her quick escape.
after work.
after those activities of extra curricular she couldn't care less - but those are social obligatory, mind you...
long day indeed.

she exhaled a thick smoke.
work and its extra curricular had bound her with life warrant.
a thought crossed her mind if she really was belong to everyone but herself.
but was I ever belong to anyone? she uttered a question to herself.
nobody replied of course, since she was alone in that place.

back to the her question.
it's like a paradox.
she hated being in love with everyone.
and she hated herself when she's not.

it's a guilty pleasure, like a cigarette smoke.
she quickly glanced to the evidence at hand.
something she regularly despise but once in a while she craves it like crazy.
that sweet sting, the feeling of feeling nothing.
the excitement equals to mucking around a drawer looking for something you don't even know.
and what is this world that is hastening me toward I know not what, viewing me with contempt?
nothing. ...

D'Inspiration - RAN

My idea of a perfect lovin' ;)

It's 9.42
I'm still playing with this beat
And my girl, she fell asleep
Oh God! She's so sweet

Now it's ten o'clock
I thought I'ma take her walk
We're gonna be walking in the park
And we'll be kissing in the dark

And I think we can
Make it our promise land
We'll be happy and
We'll live together till the end

And I hate to admit it, but I'm so in love with you
Well it's not secret anymore, I can't keep it anymore
And I hate to admit it, but I'm so in love with you
Well it's not secret anymore, I'm addicted to your love

Your love makes me high
Your love drives me wild
It makes me feel like I'm in the sky
Your love makes me cry

You gave me so much education

Till There Was You - Rachel Starr

Suddenly getting a lot of this anywhere I walk into. And old piece with new zing.

What in the world is a girl to do?
When in this smokey place I only see you
Was far away when you caught my eye
You’ve brought me back and now you’re making me high

I was alone out there, with no one else around
Now I’ve fallen for you, and there’s no coming down

Till there was you, I know what you’re needing
My thoughts are leading, me straight into your eyes
What can I do? I’m looking right at you
This feeling is all new, I want you addicted to me

Fate can act in a curious way
When all that mattered means nothing today
All that concerns me, that drenches my thoughts
Is the sensation that seeing you brought

I was alone out there, with no one else around
Now I’ve fallen for you, and there's no coming down

And there’s no coming down..

Till there was you.. What can I do..?

Till there was you, I know what you’re needing
My thoughts are leading, me straight into your eyes

Bodycology - Coconut Lime

Found you, found heaven!

To add up to the pile in my shower cabinet, came a range of refreshing, tangy, simply lovely Coconut Lime scented body care from Bodycology!

I'm a sucker of bathing delights and always keep a handful of brands and scents so to keep up with my many moods, unless I got stuck with one of course.

This brand Bodycology captured my attention a week ago.
Few ranges of bathing delights smelling of lovely scents remind us a lot of BBW and VS. The bulk and the packaging however, remind me of Philosophy. The price, drugstore cheap!
One whiff of the Coconut Lime transported me to island getaway, I was instantly sold.

After a week, found myself still drooling with the range.
Their shower cream is that good. It comes in 16 oz bottle, lathers well and creamy, not drying to the skin and the coconut lime scent does stay even after the brisk rub of towel.
The sugar scrub is also nice, does their job without leaving red scratches on the skin, smell a bit sweeter...

2 months off

an ex file with excess baggage (a.k.a. emotional dumps) recently filed a complaint.
by saying this, he's way past the 2-months-late period.

I've been told that things work better when they're a bit dirty.
like I know hair and eye make up are way sexier when they're a bit messy.
like the way a sharp ironed shirt were after a hard day and hard play ;)

but when goods hit their expiration date, they're good no more, sweetay.
so just spare all those flowers and candy.

I'm telling you this so you can save your cute ass,
and that might also save faces.

I'm never proud of my past,
I don't want to start having any regrets.

it's not that I'm not friendly.
but we were never friends, so what's with all the fuss?

Rapture - Anita Baker

sets mood to somewhere fluffy, cuddly, sunny... somewhere elusive.

When we met, I always knew
I would feel the magic for you
On my mind constantly
In my arms is where you should be

I love you here by me, baby
You let my love fly free
I want you in my life for all time

Caught up in the rapture of love
Nothing else can compare
When I feel the magic of you

We stand side by side
Till the storms of life pass us by
Light my life, warm my heart
Say tonight will be just the

Aku dan Dirimu - Ari Lasso fet. BCL

one guilty pleasure! =p

tiba saatnya kita saling bicara
tentang perasaan yang kian menyiksa
tentang rindu yang menggebu
tentang cinta yang tak terungkap

sudah terlalu lama kita berdiam
tenggelam dalam gelisah yang tak teredam
memenuhi mimpi-mimpimu malam kita

duhai cintaku, sayangku, lepaskanlah
perasaanmu, rindumu, seluruh cintamu
dan kini hanya ada aku dan dirimu
sesaat di keabadian

jika sang waktu kita hentikan
dan segala mimpi-mimpi jadi kenyataan
meleburkan semua batas
antara kau dan aku,
